Senior Business Analyst
- Hybrid working – balance work from home and the office

- 24-month fixed-term contract with opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects
Role Purpose:
As part of the Technology Team, this role will partner closely with business representatives to deliver high quality Business Analysis services for complex initiatives at pace to drive strategic outcomes for Bupa's customers.
The purpose of this role is to lead the analysis approach and provide analytical services on large complex initiatives, whilst also supporting other Business Analysts where required, and ensure processes and requirements for strategic change initiatives are captured, documented and successfully delivered.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will coordinate complex analysis activities that span multiple agile squads, lead team continuous improvement initiatives, and support and guide other junior and mid-tier analysts... particularly whilst they navigate difficult and complex projects. You may also be called upon to delegate for BA leadership for short periods.
- Partner closely with business initiative owners to develop a deep understanding of the challenges, pain points and areas of opportunity Plan, establish and facilitate stakeholder workshops • Conduct Cost/Benefit Analysis to support discovery and new business investment proposals
- Development of business requirement specifications (BRS) and functional requirement specification (FRS) documentation (as required/project specific) and utilising standard templates and guidelines
- Define concise acceptance criteria which supports the delivery team and testers
- Participate in and contribute to the BA and Agile Communities of Practice within Bupa, and to capability uplift and continuous improvement initiatives within the BA practice
- Review Test Strategy, review Test Plan, Test Cases and Test Results for SIT, Performance and Security Testing
- Review/triage of defects prior to passing onto development teams or back to test teams
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience leading and defining the analysis approach regardless of complexity in projects/Agile product deliveries
- Extensive experience in establishing and facilitating workshops for Discovery and elicitation or requirements at a senior stakeholder level
- Extensive experience with process mapping and applying conventions using MS Visio, Miro and/or Lucid Chart
- Extensive delivery experience working within cross-functional teams including having delegated for Product Owners and Delivery Managers/Scrum Masters from time to time
- Proven experience working with one or more project delivery methodologies - Hybrid, Waterfall and a Scaled Agile Framework
- 2 years' demonstrated experience working with Agile methodologies and ceremonies including: Backlog Refinement, Daily Standups, Iteration/Release Planning, Showcases/Sprint Reviews
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems/Information Technology or equivalent (desirable)
- Skill in eliciting and defining requirements ie: Epics, Features, Stories (which meet the 'INVEST' criteria) with clear acceptance criteria
- Collaborative and consultative team player with ability to independently achieve identified goals • Ability to think 'outside the box' to overcome issues and find solutions where difficulties arise
- Knowledge and experience working with Azure DevOps (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Teams (desirable)
- Certification in one or more Agile methods (desirable)
