Security Insights and Reporting Analyst

2-year Fixed term Contract

As a key member of the Security Culture and Trust team, this role is instrumental in developing reports, dashboards and delivering insights that support operational maturity and uplift security risk management.  The position is responsible for sourcing, designing and developing reports using data platforms that can automate processing and reporting creation.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify, define, develop, design, and provide data driven solutions for reporting requirements
  • Configure data platform reporting functionality to enable automated processing and creation of reports
  • Extract and manipulate information and data from key business systems using business intelligence tools
  • Document reporting process and governance activity
  • Continuously evaluate, refine, and automate reporting processes to optimise performance, enhance data integrity, and maintain robust data storage solutions.
  • Distil complex data sets and sophisticated concepts into compelling, easy-to-understand formats that effectively engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Communicate clearly and take stakeholders on a journey to help them understand the story the data I telling, drawing their attention to key insights and where appropriate make recommendations
  • Support the delivery of existing reporting solutions, including enhancements as well as lead the development of new dashboard and reporting solutions in line with security function requirements.
  • Support improvements within platforms/applications/software addressing any pain points identified affecting accurate and streamlined data output
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and develop and build strong successful and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct audits on the quality of data feeding reporting and analytical initiatives
  • Align reporting to industry and threat intelligence frameworks for consistency and correlated risk management narrative
  • Innovate and create appropriate reporting in line with strategic objectives
  • Create reports and insights that address maturity uplift inline with NIST benchmark expectations
  • Support implementation of AI to enhance reporting and insight quality.

Skills/Experience Required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics or similar
  • 5+ years previous experience in a similar role or as an Analyst within a Reporting or Business
  • Intelligence function
  • 3 + years of Technology/Cyber Security experience
  • Significant experience with data extracting/mining/processing/analysis
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques to perform and communicate analytical activity
  • Highly developed Excel skills (Advanced)
  • Hands on experience with PowerBI is a must. Power App, Power Automate is desirable.
  • 3 + years of analytical programming experience with SQL. SAS and Python is desirable
  • Experience with ETL processes
  • Experience with Service Now and reporting functions within the platforms desired
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling strategies desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to self-lead, plan, manage conflicting deadlines and prioritise workload in a high performance environment
