An exciting, fixed term opportunity has become available for a Senior Business Intelligence Insights Analyst.

Reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence and Reporting, Health Insurance, we are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence professional to deliver and optimise a portfolio of reports and analytical tools that enable our people to drive customer outcomes, aligning with the larger Bupa data program.

  • Lead data analytics and advanced analytics within Health Insurance to continuously improve how we manage, report on, and use data to drive performance.
  • Contribute to, guide, and deliver key data reports, extracts and process improvements to ensure that the HI business can respond quickly to changing market demands.
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the team through best practice and challenging situations
  • Support the Head of Business Intelligence and the Business Intelligence manager, using advanced capabilities to establish a best-in-class level of data quality and reporting tools

This is a hands-on role but also requires the ability to strategically plan and lead deliveries. As an experienced BI professional, you will be able to understand, transform and deliver results in an ever changing and complex environment. You will thrive in this role if you have strong attention to detail and are able to work with complex datasets and models in the context of addressing business needs.

How will I help?

  • Delivery of stakeholder Data & Analytics requirements and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships within the Health Insurance business
  • Implementation of data solutions that meet the stakeholder expectations and align with the data strategy for Bupa Health Insurance.
  • Ownership of a pipeline of work Analytics
  • Attention to detail and documentation of outputs to ensure best-in-class data
  • Troubleshooting data issues by tracing problems from source to reporting to perform root cause analysis

What do I need?

  • Experience in SAS, SSIS, Power BI and Synapse suite necessary
  • Highly experienced in data analytics, data quality, data warehousing and reporting
  • Strong business acumen with strong written and verbal communication skills & ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to present to large groups, conveying technical concepts.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years technical knowledge and skills across the Microsoft Data Platforms & Data Analytics
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Power BI (including DAX coding)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data for reporting and insights
  • Expertise in analysing data sets, quantitative analysis, data mining, predictive modelling and creating data visualisations
