Senior Corporate Affairs Advisor

The opportunity:
The Senior Corporate Affairs Advisor (Secondment until Sept 2025) is responsible for supporting the Director of Corporate Affairs – Health Insurance to partner with the Health Insurance (HI) business to provide Corporate Affairs support, expertise and advice including development of external communications materials, internal communication strategy, materials and plans.
The role will be responsible for developing effective written, presentation, video and photographic materials, printed collateral, logistical and event support, advice, communications planning and developing deep cross-functional relationships.
How will I help?
- Supporting the Director of Corporate Affairs - HI to deliver the HI Corporate Affairs Strategy
- Develop and deliver broad communications and engagement strategies and services, with a strong focus on internal communications and driving employee engagement, in support of the business’ strategic and operational objectives
- Proactively identify opportunities, challenges and risks for the business and designs tailored corporate affairs solutions that will promote and protect the business’ reputation accordingly
- Be a trusted, influential advisor who is deeply embedded in the Health Insurance business and who understands key external stakeholders and dynamics and considers these in the development of any Corporate Affairs strategic advice or communications
- Work collaboratively with the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team to deliver APAC Market Unit wide Corporate Affairs initiatives that engage and inspire our people, as well as promoting and protecting our reputation
- Lead the development and implementation of integrated and aligned internal communication plans
- Track, measure and regularly improve communication materials and channels
- Deliver communications content that is timely, consistent and on message to ensure alignment to business strategy in APAC as well as Bupa globally

What do I need?
The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in Communications, Business, or a related field.
You’ll have a strong track record of success across a variety of communication techniques and channels, including high-level skills in writing, presentations, video, and photography. Confidence in stakeholder engagement is essential, as is the ability to build rapport and deliver credible advice when partnering with senior leaders.
Your strategic insight will enable you to identify both opportunities and risks across the full suite of Corporate Affairs services, while your ability to work effectively within a matrix team structure will be key to driving impactful business outcomes.
