Senior Delivery Manager – Connected Care

This role leads and drives delivery outcomes for the Digital Healthcare initiatives as part of the Connected Care strategic program to achieve the desired customer and commercial outcomes within a defined budget and resource envelope.

As an experienced and inspiring leader, you will thrive in complex, ambiguous and challenging situations and be comfortable communicating decision options and trade-offs to senior leaders. You will bring a deep understanding of Delivery, Digital and change management with extensive experience working across complex organisations to deliver outcomes.
key responsibilities include the following:
- This role is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of multi-year epics within the program of Digital Care as defined in the Connected Care strategy.
- Engage business leaders and develop effective stakeholder relationships to understand and agree the business and customer needs and facilitate successful project outcomes that meet those needs with the right epic governance framework.
- Work with other teams to drive delivery execution across multiple squads— to optimise the "How" the teams work together.
- In partnership with the Connected Care leadership and Program leadership, and business unit leadership, manage and optimise the flow of value for the Digital Care programme of work across all competencies including CX, UX and Design, Development capabilities, Architecture, Business Strategy and Release Management.
- Support effective ways of working for Digital Care squads including facilitating the program implement (PI) planning process for epics/projects under their management, program showcase contributions, and program stakeholder reporting integrating into the wider Connected Care solution and governance space.
- Define and use metrics through process and tooling to ensure visibility of committed outcomes, capacity consumption, and broader insight into process efficiency.
- Promptly highlight delivery gaps, working with Program and Mission leadership to proactively address and manage potential issues.
- Ensure that adequate risk & issue management protocols are maintained across the entire Project and facilitate the resolution of those issues where required.
- Provide input into the development of capital planning, labour forecasts and monitors those budgets ensuring costs are managed within budgetary constraints.
- Guide the scrum masters and delivery managers to ensure alignment of their way of working to Agile best practice, focusing on efficient ways of working to support planned outcomes.
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- A leader of leaders, who has overseen large, and complex agile programs, they will be an effective people leader, able to build, motivate, and influence a high performing team to quickly analyse and understand new problems and situations.
- Significant business and technology experience and background, with a breadth and depth of disciplines across technology using agile methodologies. •
- 10+ years of working in project delivery roles, program manager, iteration manager and key roles in transformation.
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager or Delivery Lead across a multiple of domains. Experience with running RFPs & RFIs is preferred.
- Expert knowledge using and interpreting Microsoft Project (or another scheduling tool) and agile delivery tools (e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Confluence) is essential.
- Strong understanding of SAFe (e.g. PI planning), DevOps and SDLC, and general Project Management methodologies.
- Clear and concise communicator with analytical and facilitation skills.
- Proactive promoter of best practices and a quality mindset.
- Proven success in working with and across Business and Digital/ Technology led Delivery Teams to deliver effective and cost-efficient technology-based solutions.
