The purpose of this job is:

The Senior Finance Analyst – Medical and Mental Health plays a critical role in providing comprehensive financial analysis, commercial modelling, business partnering and financial support across the business. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of Finance to lead and coordinate the 3‑Year Plan (3YP), forecasting activities, and the delivery of weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting.

This includes overseeing month‑end close processes, delivering accurate P&L reporting, dashboards and commentary, undertaking detailed variance analysis, and preparing inputs for executive reporting, board papers and performance dashboards. You will collaborate with key stakeholders and project managers to complete month‑end project reporting and forecasts, and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, including BPC, QBR and BEF submissions. The role also requires partnering with operations teams to develop the annual business area P&L, supporting business case modelling for new proposals, conducting market analysis and benchmarking performance to inform strategic direction, and contributing to business unit strategies and initiatives.

What you’ll need to make it possible

You will be degree‑qualified and hold, or be progressing toward, CA or CPA accreditation, supported by experience in a finance or commercial analyst role within a large matrix organisation.

You will bring strong technical expertise and commercial acumen, with advanced capability in financial analysis, modelling, and the development of commercial proposals, tenders and business cases that support initiatives with meaningful organisational impact. Your experience working with complex data sets, advanced analytical tools and modern financial systems will enable you to interpret and translate financial insights into clear, practical guidance for stakeholders across the business.

A disciplined approach, strong commercial judgement and the ability to simplify and communicate complex financial concepts to non‑finance professionals will be essential in supporting informed, evidence‑based decision‑making.
