The purpose of the role is:
As a Senior Financial Systems Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of Bupa APAC’s financial systems and data across multiple business units. You’ll oversee the structure and governance of our finance master data ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment across internal systems.
Working as part of the Bupa APAC Finance Systems function, you’ll support day‑to‑day system operations while contributing to ongoing improvement, automation and change initiatives. By maintaining strong system controls and supporting high‑quality data integration, you’ll directly enable reliable financial reporting, informed decision‑making and compliance with ASIC, audit and regulatory obligations.
This is a role where you’ll collaborate widely across Finance, Enterprise Intelligence, Financial Control, FP&A, Procurement, Technology and external partners to deliver effective outcomes, influence system change, and contribute to a culture of strong governance and continuous improvement.
This hybrid position is offered as permanent full-time based in Melbourne.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Experience in finance systems roles within large, complex environments, with strong knowledge of accounting operations and reporting.
- Hands‑on capability managing finance master data and system structures across platforms like PeopleSoft, Oracle, Epicor, Coupa and Workday.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on data integrity, system governance and effective collaboration.
- A degree in Accounting or Computer Science (CA/CPA preferred).
