Senior Frontend Developer

We have an open role for a Mid-Level Frontend Developer requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience in frontend skills. Additionally, we have another role for a Senior Frontend Developer, which requires more than 5 years of experience.
Opportunity snapshot:
As part of the Technology team, you will utilise your Front-end programming skills to take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing visual and interactive elements which will be used in Bupa Digital systems to drive strategic outcomes for Bupa’s customers.
The role will include requirement analysis, assistance with solution design, code development, unit testing and implementation of highly maintainable and scalable solutions. You will work within cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality applications using Sitecore, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Azure Cloud platforms, adhering to industry-standard software development best practices.
An individual at the Team Member level is accountable for their own performance and contributes to team performance. Employees at the Team Member level does not have any people reporting to them.
Your Contribution:
- Provide expertise in various Front-end programming and markup languages
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimise applications for maximum performance and scalability.
- Guide and mentor graduate and associate level developers on best practices.
- Will develop functional and appealing web applications based on industry standard best practices.
- Will be responsible for website maintenance and enhancements.
- Will work with other Frontend and Backend developers in coding and troubleshooting.
- Planning and Organising / Work Management – Establishing a course of action for self to accomplish specific goals.

Qualifications, training & Experience
Qualifications and training
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology - Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- 5+ years of commercial experience in developing web applications
- Proficient in modern JS frameworks, e.g., React, Next.js
- Proficient in HTML and CSS programming language (e.g., HTML5, CSS3)
- Strong understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS/SCSS
- Understanding of latest JS APIs
- Knowledge or experience with bundling tools such as Yarn, NPM, Webpack
- Strong understanding of functional programming in JavaScript (e.g., ES5, ES6+)
- Experience writing unit tests using Jest and Enzyme for React components. • Awareness of WCAG standards and accessibility best practices
- Experience with Content Management Systems.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning (e.g., Git)
- Good knowledge of SEO principles and ensuring applications will adhere to them.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work.
- Experience in agile methodology and working within cross-functional teams
