A 12-month fixed term opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Manager, Brand Strategy to join our APAC Brand team. 

Reporting to Director of Brand, APAC you will be responsible for helping to develop and deliver brand strategy, measurement and planning for the team and working with colleagues at all levels, across a range of functions, to align and deliver on this strategy.

This is a dynamic and fast paced role where you will lead and participate in major projects across the enterprise from strategy to execution, acting as the key advocate for Bupa’s brand ambitions and ensuring alignment of execution around the organisation. 

The success of Bupa’s brand ambitions will be critically supported by the Senior Manager through effective planning of the Brand team, coordination with internal and external partners, and maintaining strong communication and governance of brand together with Board and Executive-level stakeholders.

What will your day look like:

  • Own the APAC and Australian Masterbrand strategy, as well as the APAC Brand function planning, this covers Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, along with Group Brand (UK). 
  • Responsibility for internal communications and governance related to the brand strategy and portfolio of activities. 
  • Lead all Australian brand research and insights, including tracking and reporting for the Masterbrand, bringing a strong focus on customer to the heart of brand strategy and measurement. 
  • Act as brand partner to internal functional teams. This may involve leading or participating in cross-functional projects including propositions, campaigns, governance or platforms/channels.
  • Provide strategic guidance, coaching on execution and best practice brand insights to support business and functions to better achieve our brand positioning and goals.
  • Negotiate and manage contractual arrangements with a range of partners and vendors.
  • Together with the Brand Leadership Team, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of team financial, risk and compliance activities, including budgeting, policy assessments, governance processes, documentation, platforms and tools for the team, vendor management and other administrative tasks.
  • Coaching and leadership of direct reports.

You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.

What do I need?

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in brand, marketing or communications or business strategy development.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial strategy, customer insights, proposition development, integrated campaigns, and/or brand design is highly valued.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills and experience working with people at a range of levels, including senior leaders.
  • Proven experience managing relationships with external vendors and agency partners.
  • Excellent project management skills to be able to manage projects autonomously.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
