Senior Manager Proposition Strategy and Commercial

The Opportunity:

Working closely with the Head of Health Propositions, you will lead the commercial strategy, analytics and performance agenda for Bupa Health Insurance’s growth propositions and connected-care strategy.

You will identify where Bupa can create the greatest customer and commercial value, translate insights into investment choices, and help shape propositions that expand market reach, attract and retain customers, and connect members with relevant health services and care pathways.

You will be accountable for proposition, market and digital performance analytics across the Health Propositions portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and maintaining commercial models, forecasts and value cases
• Building executive performance reporting and driving benefits realisation
• Evaluating market, customer and digital performance to identify growth opportunities
• Developing investment scenarios and recommendations to support executive decision-making
• Using experimentation and evidence to optimise propositions, customer journeys and commercial outcomes

Drawing on strong commercial judgement and expertise in analytics and modelling, you will bring together customer, market, financial and performance insights to solve complex business problems and recommend clear, actionable choices.

Success in this role requires an end-to-end customer journey mindset, strong stakeholder influence and the ability to work effectively across Proposition, Digital, Data, Marketing, Finance and Health Services. You will be commercially curious, outcomes-focused and comfortable navigating ambiguity to turn complex analysis into compelling executive narratives and practical growth plans.

What You’ll Be Doing

Here's what you can look forward to in this role:

• Accountable for the development of the commercial model/s for new propositions, including the sales forecasting, operating costs and performance levers used to evaluate the decision to build new propositions as reviewed by the ELT
• Lead, engage and coordinate cross-functional teams (Insights, Data Science, Data Production) and business engagement to deliver the right and timely business and customer outcomes.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of commercial strategies. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to support informed decision making including leading the Post Implementation review process to ensure new propositions are achieving targets and business case outcomes
• Leverage insights, problem-solve and provide recommendations for ELT and senior management decision making
• Accountable for providing data-driven insights, building robust business cases for significant investment in new propositions
• Input commercial levers for the performance of new health propositions as managed through the enterprise trade performance operating rhythm

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally have:

• Tertiary qualification in: Commerce, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or Business
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) preferred but not required
• 8-10 years across strategy, commercial, or analytics roles with a focus on healthcare setting
• Experience leading commercial review of tenders, to drive new business growth and including the forecasting of sales results and outcomes in a direct to consumer and business to business environment.
• Experience working across multiple streams in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
• Strong written and presentation skills and the ability to convert data into insight and prepare compelling, persuasive reports and presentations
