Senior .Net Developer

As part of the Technology Team, this role will partner closely with business representatives to deliver high quality Senior .Net Developer services at pace to drive strategic outcomes for Bupa’s customers. The purpose of this role is to contribute to software development and maintenance, including successful delivery of strategic change initiatives across the Bupa technology stack.
The role will include requirement analysis, assistance with solution design, code development, unit testing and implementation of highly maintainable and scalable solutions. You will work within cross-functional teams to deliver high quality applications using: .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Azure cloud platforms utilising industry standard software development best practices.
The role will also mentor graduate and other level developers as required
Opportunity Snapshot:
Implement .Net solutions to successfully deliver business requirements with high quality Efficiently working on different applications’ enhancements, defects as well as development new features when required
Develop high quality code that leverages existing Bupa code libraries, patterns and architectural techniques where they exist
Extend and improve existing code libraries, patterns and architectural techniques
Develop functional and appealing web applications based on usability and build reusable code and libraries for future use
Undertake design and development activities including coding, testing, deployment scripting and configuration areas in .NET domains and other related technologies
Stay up to date on emerging technologies and promoting usability best practices.
Contribute ideas for both solution and product design and architecture
Work independently and collaboratively in a creative and agile team
Proactively support the uplift of project delivery practices and participate in and contribute to Communities of Practice within Bupa
Mentor and guide graduate and other level developers on best practice
Other responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager or Reporting Manager
Your Contribution:
Qualifications and training
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology - Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
Experience
- 5-7+ years’ experience in a .Net Developer role with a minimum
- 5+ years of commercial experience in developing web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC and Web API
- Demonstrable expert competence level in using development and automated testing tools in the .Net domain using the mocking framework and DI principles.
- Some understanding and experience with client-side scripting, JavaScript libraries and web frameworks including jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS, React (desirable)
- Some understanding and experience with HTML, CSS and CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS (desirable)
- Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git and TFS
- Experience with Azure Cloud platform or equivalent
- Experience in API integration development
- Experience with WCF and Winforms is desirable
