At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.

We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you’ll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before.

Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility. Just imagine the impact you could make.

The purpose of this role:

The purpose of the Strategic People Partner role is to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, delivering practical people solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes and help our people thrive. In this 12‑month opportunity within our Dental team, you’ll partner with leaders to provide insight‑led, contemporary HR advice that supports both current and future priorities.

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role offering real variety across people strategy, coaching, change and capability building. You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your exposure across a large organisation, lead initiatives that enhance engagement and performance, and continue developing your experience in a supportive, values‑led environment. The role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane (with quarterly travel to Sydney).

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Previous experience in a similar role, partnering with leaders and delivering practical people solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior stakeholders, providing trusted, insight‑led advice across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong expertise in managing end‑to‑end employee relations matters with sound judgement and a practical approach.
  • A hands‑on mindset combined with the ability to think strategically, anticipate business needs and deliver pragmatic, outcome‑focused solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer focus and the ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships.
  • Broad generalist HR experience, including leadership capability, talent and succession planning, employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Why you’ll love it?

We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves. From providing initiatives that develop careers to looking after our people’s health, wellbeing and futures. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with a mix of time in the office and at home, while having plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take your experience to the next level.

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.

At Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are continuing to build teams that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Bupa is committed to providing equal opportunities and fostering a workplace and environment that is free of discrimination, bullying and harassment.

We actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ applicants.

We are dedicated to removing barriers to participation. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, or if you’d like to discuss how this role can be flexible for you, please let us know so we can support your participation on an equitable basis.
