The Technology Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex technology initiatives from conception through implementation. This role requires expertise in project management methodologies, strong technical acumen, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business objectives. This role will work closely with ~20 – 40 project team people: Business & Tech Analysts, Engineers, SMEs and Technology specialists.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple large-scale technology initiatives concurrently, ensuring delivery meets scope, budget ($500K–$5M+), and timeline requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communications.
  • Present project insights, risks, and recommendations to senior and C-level audiences with clarity and confidence. 
  •  Lead cross-functional teams of 20–40 members, including engineers, architects, analysts, and external vendors.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, outcome-driven team culture focused on continuous improvement. 
  • Provide performance feedback and support career development across the project team. 
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across the project lifecycle. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks. 
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and inform future delivery. 
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field 
  • Formal Agile project management qualification, SAFe certification is advantageous 
  • Over 8 years of technology project management experience, including 5+ years leading large-scale, complex enterprise initiatives valued over $2M+. 
  • Proven ability to coordinate across engineering, QA, product and DevOps team to deliver technical solutions 
  • Proven success in delivering projects on time and within budget, across the full software development lifecycle. 
  • Skilled in Agile, Waterfall, hybrid methodologies, with practical knowledge of SAFe, DevOps, and SDLC frameworks. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with high complexity, cross-functional dependencies, and 20–40+ indirect reports. 
  • Experienced in RFP/RFI processes, vendor management, and negotiating outcomes with senior stakeholders.
  •  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and Confluence; able to adapt tools and techniques to evolving delivery contexts. 
  • Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. • Knowledgeable in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development methodologies. • Solid grasp of data management, infrastructure, and security principles. 
  • Expert in using and interpreting Microsoft Project and Agile delivery tools like Azure DevOps.
