At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.

We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility.
Just imagine the impact you could make.

The purpose of this job is…..
As our Medical Receptionist, you'll be the warm, professional voice that greets patients when they need care most. You're not just answering phones - you're creating calm out of chaos, turning anxious moments into reassuring experiences, and keeping our Healthcare Centre running like clockwork.
Your day will be dynamic: coordinating appointments, connecting patients with the right care team, answering questions with confidence, and ensuring everyone who walks through our doors feels heard and helped. You'll be the vital link between our patients and medical staff, making sure nothing falls through the cracks and everyone gets the support they need, when they need it.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your organizational skills and genuine care for people make a real difference every single day, we'd love to meet you.

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Available to work permanent part-time Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday's across our South Yarra and Malvern practices (approx. 20 hours per week)
  • Previous GP Medical Receptionist experience is needed
  • Best Practice experience is advantageous
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from their arrival to departure. Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the clinic's system.
  • Manage appointment bookings efficiently, coordinating with medical staff to schedule consultations, tests, and follow-up appointments
  • Assist in processing payments, health insurance claims, and billing inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality.
  • Ensure the reception area is kept clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
  • Demonstrate a high level of teamwork, support, engagement and communication with the general practice nursing team.

Why you’ll love it?

  • We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves.
  • With access to continuous learning, development programs, and internal career pathways, you’ll be supported to grow your career and take the next step with confidence.
  • Our employees can access wide range of benefits: from our own products (incl. health insurance discounts) to many other products and services via our partnerships program (like Apple, Samsung, JB Hi-Fi, plus gym and spa discounts to name a few). We reward our people and celebrate their success, provide initiatives that develop careers and look after our people’s health, wellbeing, and futures.

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.
