About the Centre:
Our Healthcare centre, based in Southport, is a modern practice offering GP consultations, Telehealth, procedures and nursing services to the local community. The practice services the local community, meaning patients don’t have to be a Bupa health insurance member or aged care resident to visit our GPs and allied health professionals.
You will get the opportunity to manage reception for both Bupa Medical and our brand new Mindplace (psychology clinic) opening in the practice this December!
The Opportunity:
We have a versatile, exciting and rewarding opportunity at our Southport Medical Centre available for Medical Receptionists seeking casual work:
- Working across a rotational roster from 9am - 5pm
- 15-25 hours per week
- Mon/Thur/Fri at a minimum - weekends for occasional sat morning
- Friendly, fun and dedicated team
- Meet and greet patients, providing a great first impression
- Book and amend appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records
- Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
- processing payments via EFTPOS, HICAPs and Medicare
- Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
- High-end patient care; building & maintaining relationships with all clients in a friendly & warm manner

Our Receptionists come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences. To be successful in the role, you’ll need:
- Previous Medical Reception experience will be highly regarded but not essential, full training provided
- You're a motivated self-starter, this is a fast paced and dynamic role
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about customer service and patient care
- Organised with attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport with patients, in a cheerful, light-hearted manner
