The opportunity:
We’re looking for an Ancillary Partnerships Account Manager to drive the success of Bupa’s growing network of ancillary providers. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our partnership strategy, working with healthcare professionals, building strong provider relationships, and helping deliver better health outcomes to millions of Australians.
You’ll bring sharp analytical skills and a strong sense of risk management to the table, ensuring our provider network remains high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable.
As you lead the recruitment and engagement of new partners, your work will directly support Bupa’s mission to help our customers live longer, healthier, happier lives.
This permanent, full-time role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney.
We offer hybrid work arrangements, so you’ll have the flexibility to work from home when you aren’t visiting providers across NSW and QLD or working from the office in the Brisbane/Sydney CBD.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- Experience dealing with ancillary providers and/or contracts is desirable.
- An elevated level of risk management and analytical skills, with proven forecasting and reporting ability.
- Experience in stakeholder relationship management strategy and execution.
- Experience in liaising with external organisations/bodies such as professional associations.
- Track record of achieving outcomes and deadlines in a high volume, pressured environment.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Legislative understanding of the National Health Act, Privacy Act (Commonwealth), and other related acts.
- Must hold a current, full/open driver's license.
How will I help?
You will add value by:
- Managing ancillary claims costs through network providers to deliver sustainable value to the customer and fund.
- Developing and producing management strategies, reports, and analytics.
- Assisting in the management of ancillary benefits through contracted network providers by:
- Managing the number of providers covered by ancillary contracts.
- Managing the utilisation of networks by supporting customer initiatives to raise awareness.
- Ensuring appropriate utilisation/servicing by providers through networks by providing regular feedback both verbal & face-to-face.
- Ensuring all growth of ancillary networks is in line with budget expectations.
- Ensuring network providers are delivering contractual obligations.
- Developing and executing a provider engagement strategy to regularly meet with contracted providers and support providers experience.
- Being the key day to day contact for both Bupa people and allied health network providers:
- Working with local Bupa stores.
- Meeting with state-based associations.
- Formulating key industry relationships.
- Assisting with the development and production of business cases to support either new initiatives or enhancements to ancillary benefits.
