The opportunity
The Head of Health Services will lead the strategic and operational direction of all health services linked to our Wellness Hubs across BVAC Australia, playing a key role in shaping the future of integrated care. As a senior leader within the Quality Leadership Team, you’ll oversee clinical, medical, and allied health services—driving innovation, service excellence, and commercial outcomes.
This is a high-impact role with direct accountability for the success of our quality strategy, offering a unique opportunity to influence national health service delivery and elevate wellness outcomes for residents and communities.
How will I help?
- Lead the Vision: Drive the strategic development and delivery of Wellness Hub services across multiple work units, ensuring alignment with BVAC’s broader health and wellbeing goals.
- Champion Service Excellence: Own and lead high-level service delivery improvements by shaping policy, evaluating quality initiatives, and embedding best practices across homes, hubs, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Govern Clinical Standards: Chair the Credentialling Committee, ensuring all clinical roles meet rigorous standards of training, experience, and scope of practice to deliver safe, high-quality care.
- Shape the Future Workforce: Collaborate with the Quality Leadership Team to lead strategic workforce planning, recruitment, and operational execution across the Wellness Hubs.
- Influence System-Wide Change: Provide expert clinical counsel and drive cross-functional transformation initiatives that enhance teamwork, elevate clinical outcomes, and support sustainable service innovation.
What do I need?
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Bachelor of Nursing or Health Science.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality clinical care, with strong assessment and care planning capabilities.
- Skilled in building trust, coaching teams, and confidently presenting to diverse audiences.
- Adept at fostering a positive team environment and building strong, cross-functional relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret clinical data and translate insights into meaningful actions.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy, and documentation skills to support clinical accuracy and compliance.
