The purpose of the Head of Risk Governance, Operations and Reporting roleis to lead governance and reporting activities that support effective oversight and informed decisionmaking across Executive and Board risk governance forums. This includes managing forward planning, committee documentation, and reporting cycles; delivering highquality risk insights; coordinating end-to-end committee submissions; and ensuring alignment with governance standards.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Bupa APAC, this role also provides expert support to the Executive Leadership Team, CRO and Board Risk Committee through the preparation, review, and communication of risk reports, papers, and meeting outputs.  

This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Sydney or Melbourne offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.  

What you’ll need to make it possible

We are seeking a senior risk professional with 10+ years’ experience across risk governance, company secretariat, reporting, or compliance roles within large organisations, preferably in financial services or insurance.

In addition, you’ll bring to the role

• Advanced written communication skills, underpinned by meticulous attention to accuracy with proven experience in preparing & presenting executive and board level risk reporting.
• A strong understanding of risk management frameworks, governance structures, and regulatory requirements. 

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, coordination and management skills. 
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure. 
• Tertiary qualifications in Business and Risk Management preferred. 
• Risk Manager Accreditation (RIMS, RMIA or similar), Governance Institute of Australia accreditation, CPA or Chartered Accountant qualified.
