At Bupa, purpose meets possible. Join us and help shape a future where healthcare is more connected, more personal and more human.

We’re a global healthcare leader trusted by millions and committed to helping people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. Healthcare is changing, and so are we. We’re investing in more clinics, better systems and smarter, more connected ways to help our customers. As we continue to expand our services and invest in innovation, you’ll help create a healthcare system that meets people where they are, responds to what they need and leaves them better than before.

Here, your work has purpose, your voice matters and your future is full of possibility. Just imagine the impact you could make.

The purpose of the Physical Safety and Security Response Lead is to ensure the consistent delivery of a safe, welcoming, and resilient environment for everyone at Bupa. In this pivotal position, you will support the continued delivery of integrated physical security and emergency management practices across our corporate offices and customer facing spaces.

Your expertise will help protect our people, data and valued assets while giving teams confidence that operations can continue smoothly, even when unexpected issues arise. You will monitor emerging physical safety threats, coordinate critical event responses, and contribute to the ongoing refinement of policies, systems and preventative controls to ensure the organisation remains prepared and protected. By working closely with property, risk, and operational teams, you will strengthen emergency readiness, support training and simulations, and help build a culture of proactive safety awareness across Bupa.

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Strong experience in physical security and emergency management.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing effective physical security management strategies and emergency response plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate incident and emergency response efforts, working collaboratively with internal teams, emergency services, government agencies, and external partners to efficiently resolve and mitigate critical situations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, incident management platforms, risk assessment tools and emergency planning frameworks.
  • Experience in organising and leading emergency response simulations and training exercises.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and standards related to safety and security (ISO22340, ISO27001, ISO45001, ISO45003).

Why you’ll love it?

We support our people to be the healthiest and happiest versions of themselves. From providing initiatives that develop careers to looking after our people’s health, wellbeing and futures. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with a mix of time in the office and at home, while having plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and take your experience to the next level.

If this sounds exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s shape the future of healthcare, together.

At Bupa your wellbeing, identity, and personal story are respected and valued. We are continuing to build teams that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Bupa is committed to providing equal opportunities and fostering a workplace and environment that is free of discrimination, bullying and harassment.

We actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ applicants.

We are dedicated to removing barriers to participation. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, or if you’d like to discuss how this role can be flexible for you, please let us know so we can support your participation on an equitable basis.
