The opportunity

The Senior Reporting and Insights Analyst will drive the strategic development of high-impact analytics and reporting solutions across Bupa Aged Care Australia. This role is pivotal in transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights through compelling dashboards and advanced analytics, enabling smarter decision-making and stronger commercial outcomes.

As a key contributor within the broader data and insights function, you’ll lead the design and delivery of scalable BI solutions, champion data-driven decision-making, and empower stakeholders across the organisation with tools for self-service analytics.

This is a high-impact role with direct influence on how data shapes business performance, offering a unique opportunity to elevate reporting capability and unlock actionable insights across aged care services.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract position. 


How will I help?

Lead Insight Delivery: Drive the creation of high-impact business intelligence solutions, delivering dashboards and analytics that enable informed decision-making and improved commercial outcomes.

Champion Data Visualisation Excellence: Design, develop, and maintain visually compelling Power BI dashboards that simplify complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.

Optimise Data & Performance: Apply best practices in data modelling, DAX, and report design to ensure highly performant, scalable, and user-friendly reporting solutions.

Leverage Advanced Analytics: Utilise SQL and Excel to extract, transform, analyse, and validate data—ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency across reporting outputs.

Collaborate for Impact: Partner closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful, fit-for-purpose BI solutions.

Drive Continuous Improvement: Enhance BAU reporting processes through automation and innovation, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Enable Self-Service Capability: Train and support leaders and end-users in BI tools, empowering teams to independently explore and leverage data insights.


What do I need?

• Postgraduate qualification or relevant professional experience in a related field preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise as a BI Developer, with strong specialisation in Microsoft Power BI (advanced DAX, Power Query, and report design essential).

• Proven experience with modern data warehouses and strong data modelling capabilities.

• Advanced SQL skills, including writing and optimising complex queries.

• Highly developed Excel skills (advanced level).

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.

• Experience engaging stakeholders across all stages of BI projects, from design through to implementation.

• Strong technical capability combined with business acumen and the ability to influence outcomes.

• Ability to translate business requirements into effective data and reporting solutions.

• Experience working with sensitive data and maintaining high standards of data integrity and governance.

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a connected, innovative team environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
