Be at the heart of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives – physically and mentally.

We recognise the growing need for exercise-based health interventions and are committed to bridging the gap in allied health services by developing a national network of clinics focused on functional health, chronic disease management, rehabilitation, and wellbeing. This network forms a part of our future vision, ensuring that clients receive high-quality, accessible, and innovative support when it matters most.

About the Role

As an Exercise Physiologist, you’ll be a pivotal part of our team, shaping the future of allied health services. This is a patient-facing clinical role, where you will see clients seeking support for chronic disease, injury rehabilitation, and overall functional health. This is your opportunity to make a real difference and innovate in how exercise and movement are used to improve health outcomes across Australia.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical health, movement capacity, and functional goals
  • Develop and implement evidence-based, personalised exercise programs for chronic conditions, rehabilitation, and general wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and care plans
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with referring healthcare providers to strengthen networks and support practice growth
  • Coordinate with external providers to ensure seamless client care within established protocols

Your Opportunity

This is a permanent part-time position 2 days per week (0.4 FTE) and will be based at our new centre in Townsville, which is due to open doors, early November 2025.

Further to our current locations, there is future growth as we work towards our goal of 60 Bupa Mindplace clinics nationally, ensuring the access to support throughout Australia.  If you’re interested in being a part of the journey now or in the future, please reach out to discuss.

So Why Join Us?

  • Professional development – grow with an exciting division of the business
  • Career growth – as we expand, you’ll have new opportunities internally
  • Solid client base – access a consistent flow of clients via our referral networks
  • Financial security – employee engagement and systems ensure reliable scheduling
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team – collaborate with like-minded allied health professionals
  • Flexibility – we’ll work with your schedule for real work/life balance

About You

We’re seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist with:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or Clinical Exercise Science (ESSA accredited)
  • Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) registration
  • 3–5+ years of clinical experience working with clients in chronic disease management, injury rehabilitation, or functional health programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Advanced expertise in exercise prescription and rehabilitation
  • Experience delivering high-quality care and fostering innovation in service delivery

For this reason, in April 2020 our Health Insurance team invested over $50M and created the hardship team to support our customers when they most needed it.

Ban the asterisk

Our customers have told us that our products can be confusing and complex when we add an asterisk (*) with fine print in our policies. To respond to our customers’ needs, in 2020 the Product Deisgn Squad was created to make our products simpler, more relecant and personalised. Here’s how putting our customers at the heart of everything helped the team ban the *.
