About the Role – Lead with Purpose and Passion

As General Manager, you’ll be entrusted with leading a dynamic and talented team to ensure that our residents receive exceptional care every single day. This is more than a management role—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of aged care in a truly impactful way. You’ll oversee all aspects of the care home’s operations, from ensuring quality care and financial performance to driving team development and fostering a positive, compassionate workplace culture.

What You’ll Do – Lead, Inspire, and Transform

Collaborate for Excellence: Work closely with our Care Manager and clinical staff to ensure care services are perfectly aligned with each resident’s needs and Bupa’s high standards.

Drive Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement plans to enhance resident experience and care outcomes, always striving to make a positive difference.

Be a Problem Solver: Address concerns, feedback, and complaints promptly and efficiently, in line with Bupa’s standards, ensuring a safe, transparent, and responsive environment.

Lead with Confidence: Provide operational support, guidance, and leadership—always being available for your team when needed.

Optimize Performance: Manage key operational metrics like occupancy rates and incident reports, ensuring our care home consistently delivers exceptional results.

Steward Financial Success: Monitor and manage the care home’s financial performance, ensuring budget targets are met while upholding quality standards.

Build and Support Your Team: Lead recruitment efforts, foster retention, and mentor staff to build a strong, dedicated, and happy team.

Foster a Positive Culture: Cultivate a workplace culture where everyone thrives. Your leadership will set the tone for open communication, collaboration, and professional growth.

If you have a strong background in aged care or healthcare operations, a passion for quality care, and the ability to inspire and develop a team, we want to hear from you.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in managing operations in an aged care or healthcare setting

A commitment to fostering a positive, supportive work environment

Strong leadership skills that motivate, inspire, and empower your team

Excellent financial management capabilities and a strong understanding of aged care regulations

A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

A deep commitment to enhancing the resident experience and ensuring the highest quality of care

Desirable: Completion or working towards a post-graduate qualification in Health Management/Aged Care.
