The role 

The purpose of the Corporate Strategy Reporting Associate role is to lead the monthly strategic reporting process to support decision-making at the Executive Leadership Team level and support design and management of the 3-year planning process. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with cross-functional KPI owners and stakeholder groups to source the required inputs for the monthly reporting cycle, analyse provided results and synthesise key messages to be appropriate for an Executive and/or Board level audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly strategic reporting process, including compiling, analysing and reporting on key strategic KPIs to support decision-making processes for the following forums: monthly Executive Leadership Team updates, monthly Business Performance Committee updates, bi-monthly ANZ Board updates, quarterly Group strategic KPI updates and other strategic forums as required. 
  • Liaise and collaborate with KPI owners and cross-functional teams to receive KPI inputs and     strategic updates within required timeframe and assess and query drivers of KPI performance as required. 
  • Liaise with APAC Financial Reporting and Analysis Managers to ensure consistency across reported strategic and financial metrics.
  • Manage and complete ad hoc strategic reporting requests from Group as required.
  • Monitor reporting milestone timelines and coordinate review sessions with key stakeholders. 
  • Monitor trends and variances in strategic metrics and synthesise findings.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Develop and manage strategic KPI in-year forecasts and escalate gaps to target to management. 
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of strategic reports and complete regular audits (as required by Group and APAC Strategy teams) to confirm accuracy. 
  • Continuously improve reporting processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks and dashboards for tracking company performance.
  • Maintain definitions and reporting guidelines for strategic KPIs.
  • Provide education and communications to broader APAC business on KPI purpose, definitions and counting mechanisms. 
  • Support the broader APAC Strategy and Transformation team with strategic document development as required.
  • Support the development and execution of the organisation’s strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and stakeholder expectations. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data, identifying key trends and insights to inform long-term strategic goals and priorities.
  • Develop and manage timelines, deliverables, and reporting mechanisms to track progress against the 3- year plan, ensuring transparency and accountability across all levels of the organisation.

You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time. 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: 

  • Bachelor level business or finance qualification (required) 
  • Experience in consulting or strategy roles preferred
  • Proven experience in strategic reporting, financial analysis, or similar role 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to present complex data clearly and concisely and create clear and compelling narratives. 
  • Proactive communication to large, cross-functional stakeholder groups to provide updates on reporting requirements and timelines and educate on KPI definitions and counting mechanisms.
  • Strong analytic skills, attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Proactively takes ownership and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, communicate effectively, contribute to a positive team environment, and support team goals.
