Role: Security Change & Adoption Lead

Location: Melbourne

This is a great opportunity to be part of Security Culture and Partnerships team and to drive the successful awareness, understanding and adoption of security capability across the organisation, through change management and communication practices.

key responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and lead the design and implementation of change strategies and plans in line with the complexity and speed of the change that support security capability uplift and security culture adoption. 
  • Independently create communication plans that support security outcome and successfully deliver through various channels and stakeholders.
  • Synthesise and communicate information related to security change, impacts and outcomes to key stakeholders, senior sponsors, and relevant leadership teams.
  • Develop an understanding of the stakeholder radar and analyse stakeholder impacts.
  • Lead stakeholders to co-create an adoption strategy to security capability change, including strong facilitation skills. 
  • Develop dynamic and creative materials, including but not limited to: Briefing packs; Information and training sessions; Roadshows/ town halls; Digital Workplace content and (internal) social channels; newsletters; presentations; Guides, Videos; podcasts, Key stakeholder updates, including steering committees and business reference/advisory groups. 
  • Develop and lead strategies to drive awareness and staff engagement, including employee and customer experience, taking a persona-based approach. 
  • Embrace a mindset of “test and learn” and adopt agile practices.
  • Measure and support change readiness.
  • Measure and analyse communications, initiatives, and feedback from the business to define any learnings and recommendations for optimisation. 
  • Collaborate with the security culture team to develop learning and training strategies and/or plans that support security adoption.
  •  Provide event and logistical support to ensure the successful delivery of communications and engagement activities. 
  • Champion security and change in a way that has a positive impact on people engagement and so our people understand the role they play. 
  •  Establish effective relationships and work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives to ensure that these are translated into meaningful and understood communications.
  • Work with the communications teams across the organisation to ensure the messages are effectively communicated.
  • Work with the broader culture and trust team to support the development of content that is suitable for customers and the community. 
  • Lead the management of the Security Hub content that is the central source of security resources for the organisation.


You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Experience in a communication and change management role highly sought. 
  • Tertiary qualification in a Business, Communications, Organisational Development, HR or a related discipline 
  • Related professional associations & memberships (marketing, communication, change management)
