We have a new Health Insurance Business Analyst opportunity within our Health Insurance team where you’ll be able to help us on our mission to become the world’s most customer centric healthcare company.

The opportunity: 

We’re looking for someone to be the glue’ between our delivery teams and our business stakeholders. 

You’ll be working with key stakeholders to ensure Bupa is building and supporting the right Health Insurance Products with our Delivery Teams and to ensure we are building those products in the right way.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Technical BA.
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience working with SQL and defining API requirements for systems integration.
  • Practical experience of operating hybrid delivery methods for technology development, including agile methodologies, waterfall delivery and lean, using various techniques such as use cases, process mapping, user stories, etc.

You’ll need to be collaborative, value driven and deeply understand the complex technical environments and toolsets available required to achieve outcomes with data, working in complex, ambiguous and challenging situations while engaging with senior leaders.

This is a 12-month Fixed term Contract role based in Melbourne. 

We’re a collaborative team so we usually work in the Melbourne office in the CBD once a week, and you can enjoy the comfort of working from home for the rest of the week. 

How will I help?

You will add value by:

  • Actively engaging with Product Delivery leaders, Initiative Owners, and Delivery Managers to understand their priorities and provide analytical support to define the delivery and support of initiatives.
  • Analysing and decomposing business requirements into features and user stories, also including acceptance criteria.
  • Working with Product Owners, ensuring you focus on priority features and stories based on the team priorities.
  • Assisting in the creation of the team backlog and answering questions to add detail to user stories.
  • Providing expert advice and analysis for the operation of HI products through the domain systems and support delivery team members to analyse data and system behaviours. You will help pinpoint system, data, or requirement issues to help team members progress new system functionality. This ensures accurate and quality provision of product information to HI customers. 
  • Contributing to ongoing product delivery improvement, including enhancements, small changes, bug fixes and optimisations. 
  • Acting as the voice of the customer and business in all situations.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to seek alignment on an ongoing basis.
  • You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.
