The purpose of this job is…..
To be responsible for the services provided by our network of subcontracted provider clinics in the delivery of onshore medical assessment services. This role is accountable for the leadership of the provider network space, ensuring that the network is able to achieve organisational, customer, clinical and contract requirements. This is a key Bupa leadership role delivering exceptional performance, ensuring Bupa is loved by customers (including Home Affairs) and employees.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and execution of strategies to strengthen and optimise the provider network to meet organisational, customer, and contract requirements
- Ensure that provider arrangements support service quality, capacity, accessibility, and are commercially sustainable, working in collaboration with the Director of Commercial and Contract Management and their team
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with providers and subcontractors and serve as the primary escalation point for provider issues and concerns
- Ensure that the provider network remains fit-for-purpose and able to deliver in line with expectations through the leadership of regular engagement forums, completion performance reviews, and delivery of strategic partnership discussions, working with the Commercial and Contract Management team as required.
- Monitor provider performance via agreed KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards and implement improvement initiatives where provider performance does not meet expected outcomes
- Utilise available reporting to forecast service demand and assess provider network capacity, especially during peak periods or new program rollouts.
- Implement strategies to ensure the network remains responsive, scalable, and capable of absorbing volume fluctuations.
- Lead, mentor and develop a multi-disciplinary team and drive a customer centric-culture.
- Identify opportunities for innovation such as digital enablement, process simplification, or alternative service delivery models.
What you’ll need to make it possible
- Tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications being highly regarded
- Familiarity for the healthcare system and provider networks
- Significant proven experience managing a network of providers, ideally in the medical space in the delivery of services to the public
- Extensive experience in the management of team to deliver against set KPIs and expectations.
- Previous exposure in network or account management, including the onboarding and maintenance of a provider network
- Prior experience in the end-to-end design and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives within a corporate setting
- Demonstrated commitment to, and practice of, leadership driven culture and building collaborative working environments across a national network
- Demonstrated commitment to, and practice of, Bupa Values or values driven framework in a corporate or health services setting
- Proven ability to set and achieve clearly defined objectives and measures to drive business outcomes and meet contractual requirements
