The opportunity: 

We’re looking for a Contracts & Accounts Manager to execute Bupa’s network and partnership strategies for our ancillary product offerings.

In this role, you’ll apply advanced analytical and risk management strategies in the recruitment and management of ancillary providers contracted to Bupa. While managing the day-to-day relationships of the Members First Extras Network, you’ll be uplifting the engagement program for our ancillary network as it currently stands and with future enhancements.

Additionally, this role will lead the relevant growth of our ancillary network and ensure the delivery of the best possible health outcomes for members, while maintaining sustainable costs for the business.

This is a permanent role, that can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or Adelaide. 

We offer hybrid work arrangements, so you’ll have the flexibility to work from home when you aren’t visiting clinics or working from the office twice a week. Our offices are in the Melbourne/Brisbane/Sydney/Adelaide CBD. 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Experience in stakeholder relationship management strategy and execution.
  • Experience liaising with external organisations/bodies such as professional associations.
  • Track record of achieving outcomes and deadlines in a high volume, pressured environment.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. 
  • An elevated level of risk management and analytical skills, with proven forecasting and reporting ability.
  • Health Insurance industry experience, or experience dealing with ancillary providers and/or contracts is desirable.
  • Legislative understanding of the National Health Act, Privacy Act (Commonwealth), and other related acts.
  • Must hold a current driver's license. 

How will I help?

You will add value by:

  • Leading the engagement uplift program of work for the Bupa Ancillary network. 
  • Leading the creation of a Network tier classification system which delivers appropriate oversight to all network providers.
  • Ensuring the categorisation of network providers are dealt with and responded to in accordance with tier status and value to the Bupa brand.
  • Leading the development of processes pertinent to the timely management of Network issues ensuring that key performance indicators are being met by Bupa and their network partners.
  • Leading the development and production of risk management strategies, reports, and analytics.
  • Assist in the management of ancillary benefits through contracted network providers.
  • Developing and executing provider engagement strategies to regularly meet with contracted providers and support our providers’ experience. 
  • Being the key day to day contact for both Bupa people and allied health network providers.
