We have an exciting 12-month contract opportunity with our Bupa Dental Contract Management & Governance team, reporting into the Head of Contract Management & Governance. This is a hybrid role and can be based out of our Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney CBD office locations when not working from home. 


As the Senior Governance Lead you will lead the development, review and continuous improvement of secretariat procedures and the broader function and provide governance support across Bupa Dental. The role is an individual contributor role with responsibilities for the provision of administrative Secretariat functions for key committees and meetings that support the achievement of organisational and contractual governance arrangements.


How will I help? 


Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:


  • Lead the management of organisational and contractual governance forums communications to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consult and liaise with directors, managers, staff and governance forum members and invitees in relation to agenda items and papers.
  • Lead the development, review and continuous improvement of secretariat procedures and the broader function.
  • Coordinate all the arrangements for workshops, meetings, teleconferences and videoconferences. This includes room bookings and catering when required.
  • Manage governance forum documentation. This includes preparing agendas, ensuring documentation adheres to the respective style guide, and that the content is relevant and complete
  • Consult and liaise with relevant stakeholders and/or internal business partners to obtain information and reports on time and to the satisfaction of the respective forum leader.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to stakeholder requests, collate and disseminate relevant information, resolve standard problems, escalate issues when required.
  • Ensure appropriate governance arrangements are in place and observed, including ensuring review dates for Terms of Reference and related documents are observed and that any amendments are appropriately authorised and communicated.
  • Effective management of Stakeholder and alignment of priorities with business priorities.

What do I need? 


  • 5 years’ experience working in a project management office in a large-scale environment in a Secretary/Business Support/PMO Analyst role.
  • PMO and Project management certifications highly regarded.
  • Can demonstrate an ability to synthesize multiple inputs to produce insights and articulate these succinctly in PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining reporting and dashboards.
  • A proven track record of effective stakeholder management and successfully driving outcomes. Demonstrated ability to drive engagement, creating an environment that ensures people are engaged, motivated, informed, and on-board with the organisation’s direction, goals, and activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication, with the ability to work in a fast-moving collaborative culture with emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes through consultation and collaboration.
  • The ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure combined with careful attention to detail.
  • A brave, caring, and responsible mindset where any challenge can be overcome with creativity and collaboration.
