The opportunity

We are on the lookout for an experienced Talent Acquisition Lead to join Bupa! Leading a team of Talent Acquisition Partners, you will ensure delivery of high-quality talent acquisition services for predominantly nursing and clinical leadership roles within Bupa Australia.

You will support and coach Talent Acquisition Partners to develop TA strategies, proactively developing talent pipelines for agreed critical workforce segments, delivering successful strategic talent initiatives and programs, and work closely with the Engagement & Transformation Manger to strengthen Bupa’s overall approach to attraction and retention.

This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane with hybrid work arrangements available.

How will you make an impact?

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, developing and managing performance of a team of Talent Acquisition Partners to ensure delivery of high-quality talent acquisition services
  • Managing a personal portfolio of roles, as well as managing the workload across the team
  • Ensuring delivery of high quality, end-to-end recruitment services, including taking a job brief, job advert creation and posting, screening, shortlisting, creation of detailed candidate profiles and briefs, interviewing, assessment, facilitating candidate and hiring manager feedback processes, background checks, and contract negotiation and hire
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure that talent acquisition services deliver outcomes that are fit for purpose and aligned with strategy
  • Informing, shaping, and developing the talent acquisition strategy for assigned roles and craft area
  • Leading employee engagement efforts and creating an environment where people can deliver high performance and grow in their role
  • Building and maintaining talent pools for assigned craft areas that support current and future hiring needs
  • Reporting on the status of talent acquisition efforts for assigned roles and craft area. Using data driven insights to inform and influence change
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of talent acquisition services with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Supporting and educating hiring managers and other internal stakeholders to ensure that correct talent acquisition processes are known, respected and utilised

What do I need?

  • Previous experience in leading a Talent Acquisition team within health care will be highly regarded
  • Advanced understanding of end-to-end intake-based recruitment processes (and related systems), including proven experience delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide and influence
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and maintain a positive, solutions focus
  • Can-do attitude with experience, willingness, and desire to identify opportunities for improvement and lead through change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid reporting and analytics skills, with the ability to identify data driven insights
  • Commercial focus – can articulate the importance of talent acquisition in delivering Bupa’s strategy
