Darlinghurst Medical Centre and Pitt Street Medical & Skin Cancer Clinic are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Nurse to join our leadership team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong clinical leader to oversee nursing operations across two well-established medical practices in Sydney. Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will play a key role in supporting clinical excellence, developing nursing capability, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of both clinics.

Working closely with GPs, allied health professionals, and operational leaders, you will help deliver high-quality patient care while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and support the nursing teams across both practices
  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations and workflow efficiency
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, safety and clinical governance
  • Coordinate nursing resources and support workforce planning
  • Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals and practice leadership
  • Support staff development, performance management and onboarding
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practice standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in general practice nursing
  • Previous experience in a Lead Nurse or senior nursing role
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Skin cancer, procedural nursing or chronic disease management experience will be highly regarded
