Our homeWelcome to Bupa Aged Care Waratah, a modern care home set in the quiet residential suburb of Waratah, Newcastle. Our communityBupa Waratah is a welcoming, community-driven home that stays connected to the area through different local events, such as our annual Spring Fair, which we host in the home with stalls showcasing Bupa’s full offerings, local town businesses, and lots of fun for all! We also regularly hold school visits, and we host monthly birthday parties for our residents, families and team members.

Our teamOur team goes above and beyond in caring for our residents. One of our residents is the second oldest person in Australia (109!) and our team made their last birthday especially incredible, even coming in on their days off to celebrate. This commitment and compassion is something we are continually proud of at Bupa Waratah. We’re always working together to keep improving the culture, celebrating our people and taking regular appreciation days to ensure everyone knows how important and valued they are. We aim to provide the best support in career development, benefits and belonging. We love to welcome new team members, from overseas and around Australia, and we welcome them to the home with open arms, making announcements in the staff room, introductions to residents and relatives, and providing lots of morning teas! |
