About the Role

The Operations Support Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the BDC team by supporting the General Manager and operations team in managing key tasks, enabling them to focus on strategic goals.

This includes overseeing performance metrics and data analysis to align operations with business objectives, coordinating property management to ensure the smooth running of physical locations, and monitoring third-party service expenditures to ensure cost efficiency.

The role also focuses on enhancing employee and client experiences, contributing to BUPA's success, and leading operational functions to deliver exceptional performance while supporting overall strategy execution.

This role requires someone with strong leadership, operational skills, and a focus on performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and manage performance reporting and governance.
  • Coordinate property maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime, acting as a liaison between the Property team and dental practices.
  • Manage the practice equipment fleet and coordinate replacements.
  • Monitor third-party spending, ensuring compliance with preferred suppliers and products, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Assist with operational tasks, support documentation, and ensure alignment with operational actions and governance frameworks.
  • Lead the development and execution of the BDC operations improvement roadmap.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and organizational goals.
  • This role ensures operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and supports both the dental practices and broader organizational goals.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience working with operational metrics, generating insights, and translating them into actionable steps (with a focus on implementation, not heavy data analysis).
  • Experience coordinating reporting processes and governance activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with a range of stakeholders, including practice staff, Practice Development Managers (PDMs), Regional Managers (RMs), and key partners (e.g., Commercial, Property, Procurement teams).
  • A strong action orientation and hands-on approach, with the ability to manage tasks through to completion.
